Jaguar 2001 XJR

The XJR’s engine combines the AJ-V8’s excellent structure with enhanced supercharger technology, resulting in the highest level of refinement in a supercharged engine. Among its other advanced technology features is an electronic traction control system, which enhances driver control on slick road surfaces. It senses wheel slippage and quickly compensates by reducing engine power while simultaneously pumping the brake of the slipping wheel. The system can be easily disengaged for more responsive performance on dry pavement.
The XJR sedan boasts a supercharged version of the acclaimed AJ-V8 engine. It generates an awesome 370 horsepower, moving the XJR from 0 to 60 mph in 5.4 seconds. Superb handling and refinement are enhanced by an electronic 5-speed automatic transmission with normal and sport modes, a uniquely calibrated, racing-inspired suspension, and low-profile 18-inch tires.
The XJ8 sedan offers the best of all possible worlds -- a responsive ride, a luxurious interior and an elegant profile. Its acclaimed 290 horsepower AJ-V8 engine provides civilized power and state-of-the art driving dynamics. Its luxurious interior and sophisticated design are signature qualities of Jaguar XJ Series sedans.
